Description: Original cover artwork for Batman Confidential #53 (DC, 2011) by the super talented Jerry Bingham (pencils and inks). One of Jerry's personal favorites, the layout and character composition on this cover is just simply superb in every way. Super strong images of a tall and imposing Batman embracing the beautiful Chinese heroine, Ri (her 2nd cover app.) - one of Bruce Wayne's past love interests - standing above the super-powered trio Dao, Guanxi and Sudu who spring into action. This is the cover for the fourth issue of a 5-part saga entitled, "Super Powers, Chapter 4: Altered States," scripted by Hollywood writer Marc Guggenheim with interior artwork by Bingham as well. This issue's tale was titled, "The First League," which set Batman against various adversaries in the present day (an alien vampire) as well as the past - delving deep into the physical and psychological origin and development of Bruce Wayne - and introduced the mysterious Chinese team known as Zhuguan - a forerunner superhero squad to the famed Justice League of America. This artwork is totally fresh, from the personal archives of Jerry Bingham himself.
